Client Needs
Wandering North Brewing Co. was preparing to launch their seasonal summer beer, Trail Gold — a golden lager brewed with orange peel and wildflower honey. They needed help designing the label and can, as well as crafting a focused social media marketing launch to support their retail release. They were looking for something colorful, inviting, rustic, and slightly cute — a design that felt aligned with their naturalistic, outdoorsy brand aesthetic.
The Work
I developed a bright, trail-inspired visual identity for the beer, starting with a custom label and can mockup that leaned into warm golds, citrus tones, and clean, adventurous typography. From there, I created a full set of social ad creatives designed to echo the look and feel of the product — each one rooted in Pacific Northwest landscapes and golden hour lighting. We then mapped out a simple ad strategy to fit their budget, rolling it out in tandem with the retail launch.
The Outcome
The final campaign gave Wandering North a consistent, seasonally-branded system that looked as good on the shelf as it did in a feed. Over the course of the two-week launch, the campaign reached over 96,000 people across their local region and drove more than 5000 clickthroughs to their website. By pairing scroll-stopping visuals with targeted ad strategy, the launch created real buzz around Trail Gold and helped set a new visual standard for their seasonal releases.
